Magnitude 6.4 quake shakes Davao Occidental town

An earthquake with magnitude 6.4 struck 11:23 pm Sunday at the Davao Occidental town of Don Marcelino, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs added that there were no immediate reports of damage from the quake, which was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 143 kilometers.
The epicenter was located 26 kilometers southeast of Don Marcelino.
Intensity Five was recorded at General Santos City and Mati City. Intensity Four was felt at Magsaysay, Davao del Sur and Koronadal City and Intensity Three at Kidapawan City.
Phiviocls said Instrumental Intensity Five was recorded at Alabel and Malungon Sarangani; General Santos City; Instrumental Intensity Four at Koronadal City and Tupi, South Cotabato; Kiamba, Sarangani; Instrumental Intensity Three in Gingoog City; Instrumental Intensity Two in Bislig City and Instrumental Intensity One in Cagayan de Oro.
