Magnitude 6 rocks Batanes, no damage reported

A magnitude 6 earthquake hit Basco, Batanes on Saturday morning.,but there were no immediate reports of damage, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council also said no damage was reported in Northern Luzon and Cagayan Valley.
Phivolcs said the epicenter of the tremor was recorded at 37km northeast of Basco, Batanes around 12:44 am.
The earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, had a depth of 157km.
Intensity Four was reported in Basco and Itbayat, Batanes while Intensity Three in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan and in Luna, Apayao.
Intrumental Intensity Two was recorded in Laoag City and Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte and Intensity One in Vigan City. Robina Asido/DMS
