A traffic enforcer was arrested for robbery and extortion in Makati City on Monday evening.
Acting National Capital Region Police director Brig. Gen Vicente Danao Jr said Makati City Police Station and Public Safety Department conducted a joint entrapment operation against Roberto Hojas around 6:50 pm at Barangay Bel-Air in Makati City after they received a complaint he is asking P500 for a traffic violation.
“The complainant immediately proceeded to the place and was flagged down by the suspect who said ‘didn’t you know that is P500’ while simultaneously pointing to the no right turn on red signal traffic sign,” Danao said.
Hojas asked for P 500 which was handed over by the complaint and it turned to be a signal for the operatives to arrest the traffic enforcer. The suspect was brought to the Makati City Police Station.
