Manila City judges, court employees ordered to undergo self-quarantine from June 18 to June 30

All judges and court personnel in the Manila City Regional Trial Court have been ordered to undergo self-quarantine from June 18 to June 30 after two employees were found in contact with close relatives who have been tested positive for coronavirus disease ( COVID-19).
In a memorandum issued on Thursday, Executive Judge Virgilio Macaraig said the order has the approval of Court Administrator Jose Midas Marquez and Assistant Court Administrator Maria Regina Adoracion Filomena Ignacio.
Macaraig also advised judges and court employees to avoid contact with the public and to trace all persons they may have in contact with at the court for the last two weeks.
According to the executive judge, affected courts may still conduct hearings through video conferencing from home and accept pleadings, motions filed electronically during self-quarantine.
Macaraig said Manila City government has been requested to disinfect and sanitize court premises at the Manila City Hall. DMS
