Manila implements Sampaloc lockdown until Saturday evening

The City of Manila locked down Sampaloc district at 8 pm Thursday until Saturday evening as it tried to control the rapid increase of coronavirus disease.
As of Friday noon, police arrested 65 persons for violating quarantine, the Manila City Hall reported.
Swab tests were done on 66 persons and rapid antibody tests using Innovita, a Food and Drug Administration approved testing kit were done on 236 persons, officials said.
As of Thursday night, COVID-19 cases in Sampaloc reached 110, the Manila Health Department-Manila Emergency Operations Center said. Sampaloc also recorded the highest number of suspected COVID-19 cases.
