Manila to give second tranche of cash aid for residents this week

The city of Manila will start the distribution of the second tranche of the P1,000 cash aid for residents within the week.
The cash aid for more than 607,000 families comes from the City Amelioration Crisis Assistance Fund (CACAF) that was not approved last week.
In his live announcement in Facebook on Monday night, Manila City Mayor Francisco Domagoso reminded the barangay officials in the city the deadline of the submission of the list of beneficiaries of the cash assistance is Tuesday
Domagoso said the distribution of the cash assistance will begin on Wednesday.
"Please submit your Excel file data base... the last day of submission is tomorrow ( Tuesday) because on Wednesday we will start to the distribution of CACAF," he said.
"We have again appropriated 610 million pesos for our previous data of 607,000 families in Manila. Every family will again receive 1000 pesos each," he added.
As of Monday, the city goverment has recorded a total of 1,057 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Manila, of which 91 have died while 166 have recovered.
