Military claims communists infiltrated Department of Justice
October 3, 2018
The military claims that communists have even infiltrated the ranks of the justice department, a spokesman said Wednesday.
Brigadier General Antonio Parlade Jr., assistant Armed Forces of the Philippines deputy chief of staff for operations, made this allegation in a radio interview.
"They've done that long ago," said Parlade.. "In fact, they're fast in dismissing cases that we've filed even if give them lots of evidence," he added.
"For example, those (New People's Army members) we arrested before, with a van full of explosives, full of IEDs ( improvised explosive devices), and supplies. It (case) was dismissed after one week. We found out that the fiscal there and other (staff) of the court are conniving with them (NPA)," he said, without saying the incident occurred.
"They (communists) have a deep-rooted intelligence and this is what we are doing now, expose its (links). We should be careful because it's the country that will suffer," he said. DMS
