Military, police fail to serve arrest warrant for murder suspect in Rizal

The military and police failed to serve an arrest warrant on a person accused of murder and illegal possession of firms operation in Rizal Province on Wednesday.
Lt. Col. Rimrad Feraer, commanding officer of the 80th Infantry Battalion, said the combined elements of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) recovered three firearms in Rodriguez, Rizal.
Feraer said government forces were accompanied by local officials during the operation but the suspect identified as Juan Raga escaped.
Lt. Col. Respher Gaoiran, Rodriguez chief of police, said Raga has an arrest warrant for murder and illegal possession of firearms issued by Judge Josephine Fernandez in San Mateo, Rizal.
Brig. Gen Alex Rillera, commander of the 202nd Brigade, said police and military recovered one M4 carbine, one M1 .22 cal, a cal.45 pistol, assorted magazines as well as ammunition from Raga's safe house at Phase 1, Villa San Isidro, Brgy San Isidro, Rodriguez.
