Military stresses importance of transfer of nine cops in killing of soldiers to Camp Crame

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) emphasized the importance of the transfer of the nine policemen involved in the killing of four Army intelligence officers in Sulu to Camp Crame in Quezon City.
"We take cognizance of that information. This is a clear manifestation of the PNP’s resolve, not only to ease the tension, but also of their commitment to facilitate the investigation on the administrate aspect of the incident," Maj. Gen. Edgard Arevalo, AFP spokesman said on Wednesday.
"It is also in this light that the AFP the Inspector General Lt. Gen. Franco Nemesio Gacal, together with his counterpart in the PNP, has embarked on a Board of Inquiry to determine what went wrong and recommend to AFP Chief General Felimon Santos, Jr. what amendments in the current standing operating procedures and techniques, tactics, and procedures are necessary to ensure operational success and prevent the incident from happening again," he added.
The nine policemen arrived in Manila from Sulu on Tuesday.
