More than 30 PCG personnel test negative for COVID-19

More than 30 Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) personnel tested negative for the coronavirus disease ( COVID-19).
This was disclosed by Commodore Armand Balilo, PCG spokesman in a phone interview with Daily Manila Shimbun on Monday
Balilo said a total of 33 personnel of PCG public information office, including him, undergone the 14-day quarantine after two of their staff tested positive for COVID-19 last month.
He said all of them, including the two personnel who were tested positive, received two negative RT-PCR (real-time polymerase chain reaction) test results and completed their quarantine Monday.
"Of the 33, twenty five have returned to their units this morning. The remaining personnel (are scheduled to) return to their units later today," said PCG.
PCG said then two 2GO ships, the MV St. John Paul II and MV St. Anthony De Padua, which were being used as quarantine facilities have been demobilized since May 31, 2020.
"With this, all repatriates from the two quarantine ships have been transferred to the Eva Macapagal Terminal (in Pier 15, South Harbor, Manila)," it said. Robina Asido/DMS
