Most areas in Baguio have no power since Friday
March 24, 2018
BAGUIO CITY-- Most areas in Baguio have been without power for over a day as a 7 am-5 pm scheduled brownout on Friday continued Saturday as the Benguet Electric Cooperative (Beneco) could not say when power will be restored.
Melchor Licuben, maintenance chief of Beneco speaking in behalf of general manager Gerardo Verzosa who is still on leave, said: "It depends on the result of tests in the circuit breaker and power transformer."
A technical problem between the connection point of Beneco and the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) occurred as power was to be restored Friday night.
"We are doing out best to restore power ", Licuben explained. DMS
