General Santos City — An American wanted for several charges was arrested on Wednesday in Lambayong town, Sultan Kudarat. NBI chief for fugitive search unit intelligence office II Bobby Raquepo said Steve Wayne Rilley, 55, of Texas, did not resist when arrested at the house of her Filipino girlfriend in the town proper of Lambayong. “He was arrested on order of the Bureau of Immigration and official request from the US Embassy in Manila over his criminal cases including sexual assault,” Raquepo told reporters. Rilley has been in the country for more than six months but the suspect denied all the allegations. “I lost my passport and i could not go hone. I am even planning to go to US Emnbassy in Manila to get a replacement,” he said. “This is the worst thing in my life because my ex-wife told terrible allegations and plea bargain to get release from jail to fight for the custody of my children. Shes been harrassing me to get custody of his children for the last 10 to 11 years. It’s ridiculous lies,” he added. Rilley said he is willing to answer all the charges in court. DMS
