NBI informant survives ambush in QC

A National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) informant survived an ambush in Quezon City on Friday.
A police report said Demsen Tan, 45, was driving along Holy Spirit Drive in Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City around 9:30am when suspects peppered his vehicle with bullets on both sides.
Tan got out from the passenger's side and took refuge at a grocery store 50 meters from the scene.
The store was also peppered by bullets after suspects pursued Tan resulting in the injury of two persons.
Tan suffered a gunshot wound on his left elbow. The victims were brought to a hospital after they were injured from gunshots while bullets also hit some of the parked vehicles parked.
The NBI confirmed that Tan is one of their informants.
“Demsen Tan, who was ambushed today in Quezon City, is an informant of the NBI who has contributed valuable information to the anti-illegal drugs campaign of the NBI,” it said. Ella Dionisio/DMS
