NCRPO cop positive for COVID-19 recovers

A cop who was tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has recovered, according to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on Friday.

Police Major General Debold Sinas, NCRPO chief, confirmed the recovery of NCRPO patient #3 who was confined in the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) for more than two weeks.

"We are not COViD resistant. As we head on to the frontline, the risks that we will be infected by this disease are high. Hence, we are strictly implementing precautionary measures. This is our duty and we will carry on with our the task. So please, stay home to prevent the virus from spreading further,” Sinas said.

"We celebrate with the family, friends and loved ones of our comrade Patient #3 for his recovery. We are proud of him for fighting a good fight. We can't be any happier to see him back. His experience is a clear manifestation that the good Lord blesses his cops in the frontlines and strengthens us amidst this crisis,” he added.

Sinas said despite leaving RITM , NCRPO Patient #3, will be subjected to health security protocols and will be required to do a 14 -day quarantine measure inside Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City while taking his medications.

NCRPO secures the boundaries of Metro Manila by manning 24 hour control points.

Based on their data, NCRPO has nine COVID- 19 patients, four of whom are recovering, including Patient #3, and no deaths were recorded.Ella Dionisio/DMS
