NCRPO deploys 950 cops to replace relieved Caloocan cops
September 29, 2017
National Capital Region Police Office Director Oscar Albayalde deployed 950 members of the Regional Public Safety Battalion in Caloocan on Friday, replacing the 1,143 relieved Caloocan cops.
"You only have to do one thing. Do not do wrongdoings", Albayalde told the RPSB personnel during a ceremony in Northern Police District.
Albayalde ordered the relief of the entire Caloocan police on September 15 after some police officers have been involved in the deaths of two minors and entering a house without warrant.
The 1,143 relived Caloocan cops will start retraining on Monday in Camp Bagong Diwa, he said.
"The chief (PNP Director General Ronald Dela Rosa) ordered you will all undergo retraining either in Camp or in the SAF (Special Action Force) retraining school", Albayalde told the 448 relived Caloocan policemen.
Albayalde said all Caloocan police will be relived, except Senior Supt. Jemar Modequillo and his deputy for administration Chief Insp. Ilustre Mendoza.
He said many RPSB personnel do not have firearms but the PNP will issue guns recalled from the policemen with charges in court.
"The National Headquarters will provide a solution on that because some, many of them are new. There will be firearms so that the ratio is one to one", he said.
"Whatever is available will be issued to them. All recalled firearms will be issued to them", he added. Alanna Ambi/DMS
