NCRPO sacks Caloocan police chief, heads of Manila and QC stations
March 26, 2018
The chief of police in Caloocan City and two heads of police stations in Manila and Quezon City were relieved by the National Capitol Region Police Office (NCRPO) Monday.
NCRPO Director Oscar Albayalde, in a text message, said Senior Superintendent Jomar Modequillo was replaced due to "unsolved series of incidents in his area." It was the second replacement of Caloocan's top cop after a teenager died in the police's war on drugs last August 2017.
Senior Superintendent Restituto Arcangel will be officer-in-charge of the Caloocan City police force, said Albayalde.
Superintendent Amante Daro, chief of Manila Police District Station 11, was relieved due to unresolved cases, among them a shooting incident a few weeks ago in a shopping mall in Divisoria. Superintendent Julius Domingo will be officer-in-charge of MPD Station 11, said Albayalde.
Superintendent Christian dela Cruz, commander of Quezon City Police District Station 10 in Kamuning, was relieved "for having a filthy station." Albayalde said he doesn't know Dela Cruz's replacement.
Last March 23, PNP Director General Ronald Dela Rosa scolded QCPD Station 10 personnel for not cleaning their station.
“How will the people respect you when your station is dirty?” Dela Rosa said as he ordered police officers to pick up cigarette butts and other trash in front of the station. DMS
