Nearly 302 alleged loiterers apprehended by Quezon City police

At least 302 persons were rounded up in 24-hour operations in Quezon City as police intensified operations against loitering following President Rodrigo Duterte's directive.
Chief Superintendent Joselito Esquivel Jr., director of the Quezon City Police District, said Saturday they are intensifying efforts against persons drinking liquor in public, roaming on the streets half-naked and other offenses covered by city ordinances.
He said 114 persons in barangays under the jurisdiction of Talipapa Police Station 3 were accosted, including 10 minors for violating the curfew ordinance. Ten others yielded suspected sachets of shabu and other drug paraphernalia.
Cops from the Kamuning Police Station 10 apprehended 79 persons for drinking in public and walking half-naked.
Meanwhile, 20 were caught for the same offenses in barangays under Galas Police Station 11.
The remaining 89 individuals were apprehended in other areas within Quezon City. DMS
