At least 30 VIP escorts of different elected and appointed government officials are recalled by the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) on Monday.
According to Police Chief Master Sergeant Edilberto Euraoba III, Negros Oriental provincial police spokesperson, the VIP escorts were recalled by the Provincial Administrative and Resource Management Unit (POMU) and they reported around 4 pm at the headquarters in Camo Fernandez, Sibulan.
“The recall was due to the ongoing realignment program of our personnel in line with our COVID-19 response to the most affected areas in Central Visayas as our sensible way of filling the vacuum caused by the earlier recall of the augmented personnel from the Special Action Force (SAF), Western Visayas police and Eastern Visayas police by their mother units,” Euraoba said.
He said the Negros Oriental provincial [police have been sending augmentation forces to the Central Visayas regional police in support to the unit’s efforts in addressing the pandemic. Ella Dionisio/DMS
