New COVID-19 cases 985, total now 36, 438

Nearly 1,000 new coronavirus disease ( COVID-19) cases were reported Monday by the Department of Health (DOH) as total cases surpassed 36,000.
The DOH said 985 new COVID-19 cases were reported, raising the total to 36,438.
Fresh cases, or test results that were released in the last three days reached 643, with the National Capital Region accounting for 223, other regions 314 and Central Visayas 106.
Late cases, or test results which came out four days ago or more, were 342, of which other regions amounted to 217.
Eleven patients died, pushing total deaths from COVID-19 to 1,255.
Two hundred and seventy persons survived COVID-19, raising total recoveries to 9,956. DMS
