New COVID-19 cases at 2,630: DOH

New coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases fell below 3,000 for the fifth day as the Department of Health (DOH) reported 2,630 new cases on Friday.
This brought total COVID-19 cases to 299, 361, it added. The National Capital Region (NCR) drew 1,091 out of the new cases.
Active cases reached 61,766, of which 87 percent are mild. Asymptomatic cases account for nine percent of active cases followed by critical, 2.8 percent, and severe 1.2 percent, the DOH said.
Sixty-nine persons died from COVID-19, bringing total fatalities to 5,196.
Four hundred and ninety four persons survived from COVID-19, which raised total recoveries to 232, 399. DMS
