New COVID-19 cases climb to 3,714

After two days of seeing lower daily coronavirus disease (COVID-19) numbers, the number climbed on Friday.
The Department of Health (DOH ) reported 3,714 new COVID-19 cases, bringing new cases to 232,072. Active cases are 67,786 of which 90.7 percent are mild, asymptomatic 6.9 percent, critical 1.4 percent and severe 0.9 percent.
Of the new cases reported, majority came from the National Capital Region (NCR) with 1,797. Negros Occidental followed with 390,Batangas 248, Laguna 247 and Cavite 150.
Forty-nine persons died from COVID, said DOH with 31 reported from the NCR.
There are a total of 3,737 deaths due to COVID-19.
The DOH said 1,088 new recoveries were recorded, raising the total to 160, 549. DMS
