New COVID-19 cases lower with 470; total at 32,295

The Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday reported 470 new COVID-19 cases bringing the total number to 32,295.
This came a day after a new record in daily new cases of 1,150.
The DOH said 357 are "fresh cases", or test results that were validated by the DOH - Epidemiology Bureau in the last three days. By region, National Capital Region accounted for 159 followed by Central Visayas with 141.
DOH said 113 were "late cases", or those whose laboratory results came out four days ago or more.
Eighteen COVID-19 patients had died, raising the total to 1,204.
There were 214 patients who recovered from COVID-19, which puts total recoveries to 8,656. DMS
