New COVID-19 cases reach 2,053

New coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases reached 2,053, the Department of Health (DOH) said Wednesday.
Total cases were 375, 180 of which 38, 955 were active.
Provinces and cities which led in new cases were Caloocan 108, Quezon City 103, Negros Occidental 97, Benguet 93 and Rizal 85.
Sixty-one persons died from COVID-19, placing total deaths at 7,114, said DOH.
There were 540 persons who overcame COVID-19, raising total recoveries at 329, 111. DMS
