New COVID-19 cases reach 3,281

After new coronavirus disease ( COVID-19) cases fell to a near two-month low on Monday, daily cases jumped to 3,281 according to tests done by 81 out of 115 labs on Tuesday, the Department of Health (DOH) said.
Active cases reached 52, 893 cases of which mild cases account for 88.6 percent. However critical cases continue to rise, with 1.9 percent followed by severe with 1.3 percent.
Total COVID-19 cases are now at 241,987.
The National Capital Region (NCR) remained the highest number of cases with 1,420. It is followed by Cavite 263, Negros Occidental 204, Laguna 197, and Rizal 196.
Twenty-six persons died from COVID-19, bringing total deaths to 3,916.
The DOH said 286 persons overcame COVID-19. resulting in total recoveries of 185,178. DMS
