New COVID-19 cases surpass 3,000 for 2nd day

New coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases surpassed 3,000 for the second straight day , the Department of Health (DOH) said Wednesday.
The DOH reported 3,176 new COVID-19 cases from 105 out of 117 laboratories. Total cases are now at 245,143.
Of the new cases reported, majority came from the National Capital Region (NCR) with 1,327.
Seventy persons died from COVID-19, said DOH, with the NCR accounting for 36. Total deaths reached 3,986.
The DOH said 376 persons survived COVID, which brought recoveries to 185,543. DMS
