“Ofel” heads towards Southern Luzon, rains expected in Metro Manila

Tropical depression "Ofel'' made landfall in Sorsogon at at 6 am Wednesday as it heads west-northwest over inland areas of Southern Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
It is expected to bring moderate to heavy with at times intense rains over Bicol, Calabarzon, Marinduque, Romblon, and Mindoro provinces.
"Ofel'' is also forecast to bring moderate and with at times heavy rains over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Northern Samar, Samar, Eastern Samar and Biliran.
The tropical depression, which has winds of up to 45 km per hour and gusts of up to 55 km per hour, is moving westward at 25 kph. DMS
