One soldier killed in encounter with alleged BIFF in Maguindanao

One soldier was killed while another one was wounded in an encounter with alleged members of Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) in Maguindanao on Tuesday.
Capt. Arvin Encinas, spokesman of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division, said troops of 57th Infantry Battalion encounter around 20 bandits in the vicinity of Brgy Pamalian, Shariff Saydona Mustapha around 5 pm.
Encinas said following clashes in the same municipality last Sunday, troops were conducting clearing operations when they encountered the gunmen.
He said the clash has resulted in the killing of one army trooper while another one was wounded in action. Robina Asido/DMS
