The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is encouraging jobseekers to try the government's internet-based job and applicant matching system, PhilJobNet. In a statement Monday, Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III said "the employment opportunities and other labor market information are not disseminated in usual job fair sites, such as schools, malls, city, or town halls, but via cyberspace." "We highly encourage jobseekers, especially the youth and the fresh graduates, to use the PhilJobNet. This fast tracks the jobseeker's search for jobs and the employer's search for work force," Bello added. He said anyone, who is at least 15 years old, may seek jobs at PhilJobNet. Bello said there are a total of 8,429 job vacancies available. Among vacancies listed at PhilJobNet are call center agent (2,427), staff nurse (966), beauty consultant (610), cashier (507), food server (349), salesman (322), market salesperson (322), real estate salesman (300), delivery driver (288), and sales clerk (277).
