BAGUIO CITY- A businessman has offered his 34-room hotel along Legarda Road as a containment center for COVID-19 (2019 coronavirus disease) PUIs, or persons under investigation with mild symptoms in the city.
Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong said the owner of Lindi Hotel, whom refused to be named, made the offer. Magalong accepted.
The hotel had been inspected recently by City Administrator Bonifacio Dela Peña and City Health Officer Rowena Galpo.
Installing medical equipment, housekeeping system and other provisions needed are complete and it is hoped it could operate Friday.
According to the regional Department of Health (DOH), Baguio City has nine PUIs admitted in health facilities here.
All six hospitals in Baguio City, including the state-run Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center, said they are coordinating to prevent further infections. DMS
