Ozamiz city judge handling Parojinog drug cases shot dead
October 8, 2018
A Ozamiz city judge who was handling drug cases against the Parojinog siblings Nova Princess and Reynaldo Jr. was gunned down Monday afternoon.
Ozamiz City Regional Trial Court Judge Edmundo Pintac was shot on his way home at Naomi's Botanical Garden in the city when he was slain by unidentified men.
Pintac did not allow Nova Princess, Ozamiz vice mayor, and Reynaldo Jr to attend the burial of their parents and 12 others who died after they allegedly shot it out with policemen serving a search warrant on her home on July 30, 2017.
Chief Justice Teresita Leonardo - De Castro urged the Philippine National Police ( PNP) to solve the case.
"I'm calling on the PNP to exert all means and efforts to apprehend the perpetrators at the soonest possible time," De Castro said in a statement.
De Castro said she instructed Court Administrator Midas Marquez to "coordinate with all law enforcement agencies to bring to justice those responsible for this crime." DMS
