P13-M illegal drugs confiscated in Lanao del Sur buy-bust

Around P13 million worth of illegal drugs were seized from four alleged drug suspects in a buy-bust operation in Lanao Del Sur on August 14.
According to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), the suspects were arrested around 4:30 pm at Barangay Bago Ingud, Malabang, Lanao Del Sur.
Aside from the suspects, one minor was also rescued during the operation.
PDEA said it took several weeks of monitoring and surveillance for the operatives before finally catching the suspects in an entrapment operation.
Confiscated were two pieces open green plastic cellophane labeled with Chinese Tea character of suspected shabu containing an exact weight of 2,091.4 grams with national average price of P13,600,000.00.
The four arrested suspects are now under the custody of PDEA - Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Custodial Facility while the rescued minor will be turned-over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Office for proper disposition.
Cases for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared for filing against the suspects. Ella Dionisio/DMS
