P34.6-M of shabu seized in Caloocan City

Authorities on Christmas Eve confiscated P34.6-million worth of illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation in Caloocan City.
Philippine National Police chief General Debold Sinas said operatives from Caloocan City Police Station – Drug Enforcement Group (DEU) conducted an operation against Uriel Hewe Jr, 31, inside Amparo Subdivision in Barangay 179, Caloocan City on December 24.
Sinas said Hewe was listed in the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) watch list.
The operation resulted in the arrest of suspect and confiscation of 5.1 kilograms of shabu amounting to P34.68 million.
“The anti-illegal drugs campaign will spare no one, holiday or no holiday,” the PNP chief said.
Last December 23, police also confiscated P2-million worth of suspected shabu from a high-value target in Zamboanga City.
Operation was conducted against Fahad Werble, 20, at Asinan, Brgy. Kasanyangan.
Sinas said the suspect is listed as a high-value individual who operates in the city and nearby areas.
Confiscated were five plastic sachets of illegal drugs amounting to P2 million.
