PAF flies equipment to restore communications in Catanduanes

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) transported equipment needed to restore communications network in Catanduanes after it was smashed by Super Typhoon''Rolly'', which made landfall in the province last Sunday.
In coordination with PLDT-Smart Communications the PAF sent several equipment to restore telecommunications services in severely affected communities in Catanduanes.
The PAF said a C-130 aircraft flew from Villamor Air Base in Pasay City to Catanduanes on Wednesday.
"On the same flight, a total of 1,400 boxes of food packs and 82 sets of tents from the Department of Social Welfare and Development and seven communications equipment, one roll cable wire, two antennas and one generator set c/o 9th Infantry Division, Philippine Army were also transported as the aircrew performed its third humanitarian sortie to Catanduanes," the PAF said.
A PAF C-295 aircraft also flew its third sortie to Catanduanes while transporting a total of 1,000 sacks of food packs from volunteer NGO Go Share on the same day," it added. Robina Asido/DMS
