PAF picks up medical equipment from China

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) picked up PCR ( polymerase chain reaction) machines, automated extraction machines, bio-safety cabinets and test kits from China on Tuesday.
Lt. Col. Aristides Galang, Philippine Air Force public affairs chief, said machines and test kits were donated by the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship Project Ark-PCR initiative which will be turned over to recipient hospitals in the country.
"A total of 13, 483 lbs were transported and were received by Iloilo First District Congresswoman Janette Loreto-Garin and representatives from the Office of Secretary Joey Concepcion, the Presidential Advisor for Entrepreneurship," he said.
Galang said the machines and test kits that arrived in Col. Jesus Villamor Air Base in Pasay City was picked up from Hunan, China.
"PAF medical teams and the Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Explosives personnel from 710th Special Operations Wing were present during the arrival of the PAF C-130, ensuring that all cargoes and personnel in the said underwent preventive disinfection and decontamination process," he said
"The PAF pilots and crew dedicated all their skills and efforts to ensure that the much needed medical supplies and other essential equipment are successfully transported," said Galang. Robina Asido/DMS
