Palace congratulates new doctors, including Robredo’s daughter

Malacanang congratulated on Thursday the over 3,500 new physicians, including the daughter of Vice President Leni Robredo, for passing the this year's licensure examination.

"Congratulations to all the new doctors! Congratulations to the daughter of VP Robredo," Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a televised press briefing in Quezon province.

Trish Robredo was one of the passers in the 2020 Physician Licensure Examination  this month.

On her tweet, the Vice President also congratulated her daughter.

"Our children's achievements are always sweeter than our own," she said.

Roque said  in this time of coronavirus pandemic, the doctors are the new heroes.

"We expect that many will give medical assistance to our country while there is no solution yet in the pandemic. Congratulations to the new doctors and congratulations to their proud parents," he said. Celerina Monte/DMS
