Malacanang congratulated on Monday Vladimir Putin for his landslide re-election as president of Russia.
"We can only congratulate him because we don’t meddle in the affairs of other states," said Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque in a press briefing in Camarines Sur.
Putin won his fourth presidential term.
Presidenti Rodrigo Duterte considers Putin as a friends as they already met several times in different international summits.
Duterte embarked on a visit to Russia in May last year. But he had to cut short his trip due to rebellion in Marawi City.
He declared martial law in Mindanao due to Marawi siege when he was still in Moscow. Celerina Monte/DMS
