Palace mourns death of ex-Sen. Revilla

Malacañang extended sympathies to the family of former Senator Ramon Revilla Sr. who passed away on Friday at the age of 93.
"The Palace expressed its deep condolences to the Revilla family for the loss of its patriarch," said Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque in a statement.
He said the Palace shares the grief of the Revilla clan.
"As tributes pour to honor the life and legacy of this respected movie icon and public servant, we pray that the Almighty grant Mr. Revilla eternal repose," the spokesman said.
Revilla, popularly known as "Hari ng Agimat (King of Amulet), was a pillar of the movie industry prior to his entry to politics, he said.
Roque noted that Revilla was recognized as the Father of Public Works Act for his authorship of Republic Act No. 8150, otherwise known as the Public Works and Highways Infrastructure Program Act of 1995 when he was a senator.
