Palace suspends work in gov’t in Metro Manila

Malacanang has suspended work in the executive department and classes in all levels in Metro Manila starting 3pm on Monday due to inclement weather.
This was in accordance with the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Mangaement Council, the Office of the Executive Secretary said in Memorandum Circular No. 46.
"We leave the suspension of work for private companies and offices to the sound discretion of their companies/employers," the Office of the Executive Secretary said.
However, the agencies of government involved in delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness, and other vital services shall continue with their operations, it added.
While typhoon "Domeng" has left the Philippine area of responsibility, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon continued to experience monsoon rains caused by the southwest monsoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said. Celerina Monte/DMS
