Malacanang thanked on Thursday Filipinos for recognizing the effort of the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte in ensuring peace and order in the country.
This was after Washington-based firm Gallup ranked the Philippines in the list of Top 50 nations with good peace and order.
"We thank the public because at least they recognize that it is a priority of our President to maintain peace and order in our society," said Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque in a televised press briefing.
He said the result of the Gallup survey proves that the Duterte government continues to push in bringing back peace and order in the country.
In the 2020 Global Law and Order survey, Gallup said the Philippines ranks 12th among 144 countries last year.
One of Duterte's priorities is to fight criminality, including illegal drugs, in the country. Celerina Monte/DMS
