Palace warns LTO official in Visayas to rectify wrongdoings
September 21, 2020
Malacanang warned on Monday a regional director of the Land Transportation Office in Visayas for the alleged irregularities.
In a televised press briefing, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, however, did not name the official.
"There's a huge anomaly which can be reported already to (Transportation) Secretary (Arthur) Tugade here in Visayas. But we're still giving the person affected to rectify his mistakes," he said.
He told the official to "clean up because the President (Rodrigo Duterte) will not tolerate corruption, not even a whiff of corruption."
Roque said such regional director her was referring to knew who he was.
Previously, Duterte just dismissed some government officials who were dragged into alleged corruption. However, apparently, whenever the individual involved is closed to him, he gave such person the chance and not abruptly fire him or her from office. Celerina Monte/DMS
