August 6, 2017
A Pasay City councilor was shot Saturday evening at SM Southmall in Las Pinas and police said this is a murder case and not robbery or terrorism.
Borbie Rivera, 39, was rushed to the Asian Hospital in Muntinlupa City but was declared dead on arrival by Dr Richard San Luis at 8:57 pm, or 27 minutes after the incident occurred, the Southern Police District said. The gunmen fled to an unknown direction on a motorcycle without a plate number.
Rivera had a gunshot wound to the head and multiple gunshot wounds on the body.
“The SM Southmall shooting is not robbery holdup or terrorism. It’s purely crime of murder,” said Chief Superintendent Tomas Apolinario, director of the Southern Police District. DMS
