PBS-RTVM Manila office closed for 14 days after staff tested positive for COVID-19
July 27, 2020
The Presidential Broadcast Staff-Radio Television Malacañang, which is housed at the Malacañang Complex in Manila, will temporarily close its office for 14 days after some of its staff have been tested positive for coronavirus disease.
In an advisory, RTVM said PBS-RTVM will close its office in Manila from July 28 to August 11 "to give way for office decontamination and sanitation, continuation of contact-tracing activities and conduct of confirmatory tests relative to the control and management of COVID-19 virus."
PBS-RTVM is an attached agency of the Presidential Communications Operations Office.
During the 14-day closure, RTVM said only select personnel will be allowed to cover presidential coverage, while support to non-presidential coverages will only be done remotely or virtually.
"Other employees identified to be primary contact of our confirmed cases are scheduled to undergo necessary swab testing and will be on mandatory self-quarantine," it said.
It said the other workforce will be on a work-from-home arrangement.
PBS-RTVM reminded the public that no documents shall be received or released in its Manila office and no other coverage requests or transactions shall be entertained during the 14-day closure.
Normal operations of the agency will resume on August 12.
