The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) rescued a female pilot whale that was stranded along the coastal waters of a private beach resort in Bagac, Bataan on Monday.
The PCG said the whale, which was immediately brought to a nearby lagoon, is approximately three meters in length.
The marine mammal was found to be weak and under stress.
"The concerned veterinarian provided her with anti-stress antibiotics and took blood samples to further determine her health condition," said PCG.
The whale is being monitored by the personnel of the PCG Station in Bataan to ensure her full recovery before releasing her back into the ocean. Robina Asido/DMS
