Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Tuesday night arrested five Hong Kong nationals and confiscated around 107 kilos of suspected shabu worth P727.6 million inside a condominium in Pasay City.
PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino led anti-narcotics officers implementing a search warrant in a unit at the Oceanaire Luxurious Residences located at the Mall of Asia Complex at around 8:30 p.m.
“This is a product of our collaboration with China,” Aquino said in a phone interview, adding it took them four months of surveillance operations to crack the drug syndicate.
Aquino said the syndicate selected the building as a base of their operations to avoid detection by authorities. "We think their market is here," he said. DMS
