PDEA seizes P1.3 million worth of illegal drugs in Mandaluyong

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) confiscated P 1.3 million worth of different kinds of illegal drugs in Mandaluyong City on Tuesday morning.
Ten transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 50 grams worth P350,000, 500 tablets of a party drug called of methylephedrine worth P1 million, 12 pieces of valium tablets worth P200, and 83 tablets of mogadon or Nitrazepam worth P5,810 and different drug paraphernalia were seized in the house of Jovet Atillano, PDEA said in a statement.
The illegal drugs were confiscated through a search warrant inside the house of Atillano, a suspected online seller of illegal drugs in Tower II, GA Towers, EDSA corner Sierra Madre Street, Mandaluyong City around 5:00 am, it said.
PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino said in a statement, “Intelligence reports revealed that Atillano, who hails from Cotabato City, ply his illegal drug trade using electronic commerce. He is a major distributor of illegal drugs in NCR, Northern Luzon, particularly in Baguio City and as far as Cebu and Boracay Island in the Visayas”.
Atillano will be charged for violation of Section 11 Possession of Dangerous Drugs and Section 12 possession of drug paraphernalia , PDEA said. Alanna Ambi/.DMS
