Philippine COVID-19 cases surpass 20,000

Philippine COVID-19 cases surpassed more than 20,000, the Department of Health ( DOH) said Thursday.
The DOH said there are now a total of 20,382 COVID-19 cases after 634 new cases have been reported.
Of the newly-reported cases, a total of 313 are considered as "fresh cases", which means results are given to patients in the last three days.
The DOH said 321 are identified as "late cases", where results are given to patients after more than four days.
Ten deaths were reported, bringing the total to 984.
There were 95 recoveries, raising the tally to 4,248. DMS
