The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday said they were able to help more than 22,000 stranded health workers and commuters through their “Libreng Sakay” program.
PNP said since March 19, a total of 22,461 stranded health workers and commuters have been served in 12 routes using 12 buses and troop carriers to and from the pickup and drop points within Metro Manila and nearby areas.
It said physical distancing is observed during loading and unloading of passengers by reducing its load capacity to 50 percent and disinfection is being conducted before and after every trip.
PNP chief General Archie Francisco Gamboa reminded the crew and personnel to extend utmost courtesy and all possible assistance to the commuting public.
