PNP personnel infected with COVID-19 now 19

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday said the number of personnel infected with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is now at 19.
In a statement, PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Bernard Banac said the latest addition of COVID-19 patients were identified as a female officer, 31, from Laguna , a 41-year-old male police personnel from Cavite, and a 45-year-old female police officer from Batangas.
Banac said PNP chief General Archie Francisco Gamboa assured the public the PNP Health Service is monitoring the remaining 15 patients out of 19 COVID-19 cases in the PNP organization.
“Two PNP personnel recovered from the pandemic, while other two succumbed to death last week,” he said.
Based on their data, a total of 280 PNP personnel are categorized as Persons Under Investigation (PUI) including 63 Police Commissioned Officers (PCO), 204 Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCO), and 13 Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP).
A total of 1,332 PNP personnel are now listed as Persons Under Monitoring (PUM) composed of 300 Police Commissioned Officers, 978 Police Non-Commissioned Officers, and 54 Non-Uniformed Personnel.
Banac said on the first week of operation as quarantine area, the PNP National Headquarter’s COVID-19 Patient Care Center admitted 39 PNP personnel listed as PUIs and are undergoing self-quarantine, including 11 PCO, 18 PNCO, four NUP, and six civilians. Ella Dionisio/DMS
