October 4, 2018
The Philippine National Police (PNP) recalled the security detail of opposition Senator Antonio Antonio Trillanes IV when Proclamation No. 572 revoking his amnesty was made public, a police official said Thursday.
Chief Superintendent Filmore Escobal, Police Security Protection Group (PSPG) director, said Trillanes' two police escorts were recalled when President Rodrigo Duterte's order revoking his amnesty he signed on August 31 was published in a broadsheet on September 4.
Escobal said in a text message this was upon the orders of PNP Director General Oscar Albayalde.
Albayalde has yet to issue a statement. DMS
