PNP reorganizes several directorates, offices

The chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) announced the latest reorganization of some senior officials occupying key position in Police Regional Office 12 and Camp Crame-based directorates.

Police General Archie Francisco Gamboa said former police spokesperson and newly-promoted Police Major General Dionardo Carlos will take the helm of the Directorate for Police Community Relations (DPCR),  the primary PNP unit or its police community affairs and media relations programs.

Carlos replaced Police Major General Benigno Durana Jr who retires today, May 20, after serving more than three decades in police and military service.

Both Durana and Carlos are members of the PMA Maringal Class of 1988.

“Durana also served as PNP spokesperson and chief of Public Information Office,” Gamboa said.

“Carlos was the former director for Information and Communication Technology Management (DICTM),” he added.

Police Major General Joselito Vera Cruz will replace Carlos as the head of the DICTM as lead implementor of SMART Policing Program after his stint as the Director of Integrated Police Operations (DIPO) – Western Mindanao.

He is a member of PMA Hinirang Class of 1987.

 Police Brigadier General Alfred Corpus,  former Region 12 director, will be the new Director of DIPO – Western Mindanao.

Police Brigadier General Michael John Dubria , chief of the Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies (SOSIA), will replace Corpus as regional director.

Corpus belongs to the PMA Hinirang Class of 1987 while Dubria is a member of PMA Sambisig Class of 1991.

Gamboa also designated Police Colonel Sidney Villaflor as Acting Chief of SOSIA under the PNP Civil Security Group (CSG).

Villaflor belongs to PMA Tanglaw Diwa Class of 1992.
